TEAMS Mathematics Pre- and Post-Tests

Grades 5-6, Turn On to Algebra

TEAMS provides testing materials for every mathematics module. It is important that students have the necessary materials to complete assessments successfully. Check needed test materials and prepare prior to administering the test.

Administering Tests:
Allow students an adequate amount of time to complete items. Make sure they are clearly understanding directions.

Test Materials:

Each student needs six regular hexagons to complete this test.

Be sure to prepare students for taking pre-tests. Encourage them to do their best, but let them know the test is to let you know what to teach.

Test Format & Scoring:
Test items are designed in a variety of formats.
Students plot points on a grid.
They solve for unknowns.
Students fill-in missing information.
They complete a geometric pattern and answer questions about the pattern.
