2. Using the 3 squares on the left side of the paper, color in each section to create a pattern.
3. Select one of the squares to create a border design using a translation (slide).
4. Select one of the squares to create a border design using a rotation (turn).
5. Select one of the squares to create a border design using a reflection (flip).

• Translation (slide) - the figure is moved along a line for a fixed distance or sliding the design over a distance.
• Rotation (turn) - the figure is revolved around a fixed point, called the center of rotation, this center can be a point on the figure or not.
• Reflection (flip) - the figure is flipped about a line, productin a mirror image of the original figure.
