Movie: "Willow" by Ron Howard
Rating: 5 stars

I reviewed the movie called "Willow" directed by Ron Howard and George Lucas. The movie was very fascinating and detailing because it opened with different kinds of people and interesting culture that increased my curiosity about what the movie is all about. If I could rate this movie from 1 – 5 stars, I would give it 5 stars because of the good and impressive work on making the "Willow".

Screenplay was dazzling and creative because the script writing was unique and very detailing. I liked the idea of the story because it showed me how much of troubles that people could have gone through just to save a baby's life. The basic story of the "Willow" is about a Newlyn father, Willow, who was sent on a mission to become a great sorcerer if he accomplished the mission. The mission was to return a Diakini baby, Elora Danan to her homeland, safely.

Character developing in the "Willow" does show the passion and bondage between some certain main characters. The characters did give me some time to see the relationships that are changing from the beginning to the end. There are three changes that were big: Madmartigan and Willow grew stronger friendship for the baby's sake. Sorscha grew her passion for Madmartigan and betrayed her mother. Most of the protagonist characters showed how the baby could affect their personal goals.

In this movie, the acting and casting is very impressive and clever. At most, I was so impressed with how the producer may take a lot of time to find the right kind of baby to play the role. The baby, Elora Danan in the "Willow" was the perfect example to play the role because that baby did use the facial expression that revealed about how she felt. The main characters were acting as if they are in the real world and I liked that. One thing, I noticed that the scenes with battle weren't very revealing enough. Maybe I watched too much of graphic movies but the battle should show more pain by the painful yell, or actions.

Dialogue in this movie wasn't too tedious or twisting because the script, the acting and the characters made it smooth. I love the conversation between those two little brownies, Fran-Jean and Rool. They were the funniest characters because they acted like 3 stooges but there are 2 little people. The climate of the dialogue didn't drop down to the flat line but it kept going up and rarely goes down. I felt like the conversation are important, all the time because sometimes it is funny or sometimes it gives you the hint about what happens next.

The cinematography and special effects were imaginative and remarkable. The clothes, weapons and the horses or old fashioned wooded wagons gave me a wild imagination about what the period of dark ages may look like. Other shows like "Hercules" or "Xena, the princess warrior" were examples of the dark ages but the "Willow" is far better with the imagination. The setting of the movie is perfect place to make me and the reviewers feel as if it is a real spirited world that we haven't experienced. I like when the movie included a talking muskrat that tuned to different kinds of animals because it is funny to see how the animal's mouth move. Most of all, I love to see how they make the brownies looking so small, like a size of a Barbie doll. I like the special effects in that movie because they did use a lot of cloud of spirit or magic, whirling like when Willow waved the wand and when the fairy appeared and disappeared. Others like the sound of an animated animal and the creatures growling.

The Direction of the movie is very organized and very smooth. I understand the sequences, step by step and every sequence always involve a conflict that lead to another, and so go on. The conflict weren't so similar to other sequences, they were all different and I enjoyed wondering about what conflict is going to occur in the next sequence.

Overall, the movie "Willow" is very fascinating and good kind of movie that any people would enjoy. It is people's choices to like the movie or not, but I would suggest everyone to watch and rate it for themselves.
