FAST PLANTS

How does a seed know
When to come out of the ground?
Does somebody tell it?
Does an alarm sound?

Does the fertilizer whisper to it?
Does the sun start to yell?
Do the roots form a code,
For the soil to tell?

The green leaves thump,
For the seed to know.
The light sings softly,
That they want to grow.

"Okay!" says the seed,
" I'll let you grow,
But please come back,
In the flower's pack."

FAST PLANTS

Plant with fertilizer
Observe with magnifier
These plants grow really fast
So you better watch because they don't last
Give them warmth and oxygen
H2O says Mr. Glennon
Treat them nice
If you don't they'll be mad
We put seeds into the quad,
Please don't laugh, it's not odd
Starting as seeds, then leaves and roots,
To make themselves really hoot
Use your pipettes and wicks and more
Then they are ready to grow galore.

FAST PLANTS

One day after planted
It sprouts new birth
It sees the grandest place on earth
It then takes a breath of fresh, clean air
Sensing that some water is near.

A drop, just a drop, fell down from the sky
It landed in the little plants eye
It rolled down its leaf and on to its stem
It fell in the soil, to the roots, and fed them.

FAST PLANTS

We've been working on plants all during the year
For further down in the spring the flowers will be here

But during the planting we came upon something new
They're called fast plants, and they're nice and green too.

They grow fast as bamboo
Yet they're lighter than a shoe.

To make a fast plant you will see
Water, light, and energy
Along with fertilizer to make it grow,
A lot of love is whay you should know.

FAST PLANTS

On the first day of spring we plant seeds,
To grow a fast plant, you should know what it needs.

Light, warmth, air, and water,
It starts to grow; congratulations, you're now a mother.

You can either nurture it and give it good care,
Or experiment and give it no air.

It only lasts for 30 days,
But you're so wild, you've got the fast plant craze.

FAST PLANTS

Fast plants are so very neat,
Let me tell you 'bout them,
Here please take a seat.

First of all, here is the way they grow,
They grow tast, they don't grow slow.

Into fast plants, we put fertilizer,
Studying them, we become wiser.

Two things they need are light and water,
Those are things they need a lotta.

A container of water are the violet wicks
To transplant them, you will need some sticks

Those were some things that you should know,
So now you may go.

Here are some more Fast Plant Poems...
They had to be listed separately, because of the beautiful drawings that go along with them:
