Coming From India

"Please tell us why you left your country," I asked.
"I left India to get a Master's Degree in Business," said my papa.
"How was your journey and where and when did you arrive?" I asked.
Papa said, "I came by Pan Am jet to JFK airport, in New York in August of 1979."
"Tell me about your new life and your feelings," I asked.
He replied, "I missed home but I settled into the college dormitory in North Carolina University. The degree was important for a good job and so that my children could have a good life here. Right, Yuvraj?"
I nodded and thanked him for his time.
