Hardware Requirements
It is our goal to make online learning accessible to all interested teachers. Based on the latest research, the average teacher has a little slower and older equipment at home than at school. In creating our online course, we kept that in mind and tried to keep ease of use and simplicity as our focus. Every feature of our program, from discussion forums to classroom meetings can be accessed by a Web browser from Patti's online classroom.
Minimum System Requirements
- Access to a computer—either Macintosh or PC platform, modem, and phone line (or network connection)
- Internet access is required for all features of the online course
Macintosh Hardware Requirements
- Mac Operating System 7 or higher
- 16 MB of RAM (higher preferred)
- 20 MB of free hard drive space (50 MB preferred)
- Modem 28.8 BPS (56.6 BPS preferred)
PC Hardware Requirements
- IBM compatible 486/33 or better, including all Pentium PCs
- Windows 3.1 operating system or higher (Windows 95 or 98 preferred
- 16 MB of RAM (higher preferred)
- 20 MB of free hard drive space (50 MB preferred)
- Modem: 28.8 BPS (56.6 BPS preferred)
