TEAMS Distance Learning supports Professional Development for all teachers
by providing staff development videos for each module.


Life Cycles
One 60-minute staff development program

The staff development program introduces teachers to the Life Cycle module. Student activities and effective teaching strategies are reviewed. Life Cycles is designed for primary students and explores and compares the life cycles of several plants and animals.

Chemistry
One 60-minute staff development program

The staff development program introduces the Chemistry module, Making inferences from observed data is emphasized through several hands-on activities for grades 4-6.

Forces in Motion
One 60-minute staff development program

The staff development program introduces the Forces and Motion module in preparation for the students programs (grades 4 –6). These programs involve teachers in the elements of good science teaching and meaningful assessment. What does it look like? How do we do it?

Earth Processes
One 60-minute staff development program

The staff development program introduces the Earth Processes module in preparation for the student programs for grades 4-6. The teaching strategies emphasized are discussed and several of the hands-on activities are reviewed.

Ecosystems
One 60-minute staff development program

The staff development program provides the basis of the content, teaching methods and procedures used in the student programs (grades 4-6). Key concepts, strategies, and outcomes for the Ecosystems module are reviewed. Teachers become familiar with the materials and organisms essential to the activities.
